The curriculum for our Practical Series runs for 24 weeks. Each class is carefully designed to slowly build both students’ cooking skills and culinary knowledge.
Practical Series Curriculum (NEWEST)More Info:
- If a student knows that they will be missing one or more Practical Series classes, they must let Classic Cooking’s staff know before their absence(s).
- If a student misses a certain or multiple classes of the Practical Series, they can make up their specific topics in either a concurrent session or the next upcoming session(s) at no additional charge.
- Recipes will not be given out for the majority of the Practical Series. We strive to teach students about concepts, informational items, and cooking techniques for each topic.
- Recipes will be given out for the pastry-themed classes, since those topics require precise technical accuracy when it comes to making those dishes. If you leave said classes without your recipe(s), please contact our administrative staff, and we will send you copies.
- Students are required to bring and wear their chef jackets and closed-toe shoes for each Practical Series class. Long hair must be tied back behind students’ heads. Jewelry must be kept to a minimum.
- Accommodations will not be made if some students have certain allergies/dietary restrictions towards certain items of the curriculum. We encourage students to still actively listen in the lecture portion of said classes but refrain from participating during the hands-on cooking portions.
