Pastry Class – Spring Desserts (SOLD OUT)

Get into the spirit of Spring!  In this Pastry Class, bakers looking to enhance their baking skills will learn to make a Pate Sucree dough and use it as their tart shell for two different desserts.  In addition, participants will learn how to make a pastry cream, which will open the door for endless dessert creations!  This class is open to anyone with a basic level of cooking knowledge and experience.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Pastry Classes are held on select Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and include all ingredients, coffee, wine, champagne and water.  Attendees must be 21 years or older to consume any alcohol.
  • Class is limited to 16 students.  Reservations are based on First Come-First Serve basis.  Call (480) 502-0177 or write Info@CCAcademy.edu to register.
  • $100 per person.  Call to inquire about seasonal discounts. Cancellation must be made 72 hours in advance of course time.
  • Class begins with a complete demonstration and discussion by the Chef Instructor.  Participants will make Fresh Fruit tarts using a Pate Sucree tart shell filled with pastry cream and finished with fresh fruit and apricot glaze.  The Pate Sucree will also be used to make their Apricot Frangipane tart. Both tarts will be served at the end of class with a choice of beverage.
  • Gratuity is not included in the per-person fee.  If you kindly wish to leave a tip, it will be split among all staff including the Chef Instructor, Server, Assistant and Dishwasher.
  • Please wear closed toe shoes and tie back all long hair.
