Old World vs. New World Wines

Old World. vs. New World wines – Learn about the regional differences and comparisons between the same varietals and why they taste so different (magic word here – terroir)!  Taste red varietals from both New World & Old World regions.  Light dinner provided.

$50 per person or take all 6 wine classes for $250!

This is a Specialty Class.  No vouchers will be accepted.

March 6th – Intro to Wine Tasting
March 13th – Old World vs. New World
March 20th – New Zealand and Australia wines
March 27th  – Pinot Noir
April 3rd – Italian Wines
April 10th – Champagne and Sparkling Wine

Chef Cathleen Rosenberg is a graduate with honors from Scottsdale Culinary Institute, San Francisco State University Cum Laude and recipient of a Certificate in French from Grenoble University in France.  For many years she taught wine and hospitality classes as well as restaurant operations in Technique Restaurant at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Scottsdale, Arizona. During this time she earned her Wine Specialist Certification from the Society of Wine Educators in 2010. Her ’byob’ bistro in Carefree focused on wine and food-pairing dinners (2005-2007). She currently has clients that she cooks for.

Cathleen’s theory of quality life is a reflection of her lifestyle of eating fresh food, enjoying wine and including an active fitness regime as a way of life.
