Tapas and Sangria

Date: July 22nd; 5:00pm – 7:30pm

The word tapa, meaning cover or lid, is thought to have originally referred to the complimentary plate of appetizers that many frequented bars would place on top of one’s wine glass – like a “cover.”  Anything, however, served in small portions can be considered a tapa.

Sangrias are essentially Spanish punch: pitchers full of red wine, chopped fruit, and other varied ingredients such as orange juice or brandy.

Learn how to cook six classic tapas using fresh meat, fish, vegetables, and cheeses while sipping on red or white sangrias (or beer, if preferred) and undergo an education on Mediterranean casual dining.
