12-Week Pastry Series
Dates: Once a week starting on September 13th @ 6:30 – 9:00pm
This unique pastry series is designed to teach you all about the essentials in the world of pastries. Led by highly qualified and talented Chef Dan Boman, you will walk through essentials such as yeast and pastry doughs, quick breads, cookies, icings, chocolate tempering, individual pastries and assembled cakes only to name a few. The aroma of baking breads, the secret of the very best pastry dough for any pie or tart, decorating that special cake or plating individual desserts will make you the envy of family or friends.

6-Week Wine Series
Dates: August 21st, 28th; September 11th, 18th, 25th; October 2nd @ 6:30 – 8:30pm
Looking to educate yourself more on all things wine? Hosted by Chef Cathleen Rosenberg, this weekly series will look at different geographic regions and how each has managed to create their own unique grip on the grape. Alongside wine tasting, complimentary food will be served in each class. Enroll in one class or take all six – the choice is yours! Cost is $50 / person per class.

Macarons Class w/ Chef Pascal Dionot

No no no, this isn’t named after France’s newly elected president; this is a class that centers around a dainty, cream-filled, almond-meringue sandwich cookie: the macaron. Join Chef Pascal Dionot as he talks about one of the most popular French pastries out there.

Barbecue & Grilling Class
Date: September 16th @ 11:00am – 1:30pm
Chef Instructor Barry Rosenberg brings his passion and knowledge for barbecuing and grilling to Classic Cooking Academy’s premiere course designed to make you the master of this more popular-than-ever cooking style. Barry will share his expertise on barbecue sauces- with an emphasis on Carolina style (vinegar based) and Kansas City style (a sweeter sauce)- along with a variety of rubs. A representative of SunUp Brewing Company, a local American craft beer enterprise, will also be in attendance to pour craft beers selected from its popular series and brews. SunUp Brewing Co. craft beer will be available for purchasing by those attending this class.
